WHEN

Aug 7th 2009, 11:15 AM 0 raters

When the tablets stop

The delusions evaporate

Torn between an inside and an outside

A now and a never

ABOUT ME

Apr 12th 2009, 06:09 PM 3 raters

I'm over sensitive a little moody
Ruled by the emotional moon above
I hate doing anything remotely strenuous
My guide the peaceful dove

I'm sensual or romantic
Caught by the depths of my care
Idealism still enchants me
The reality is never there

I'm creatively so pedantic
No lack of confidence or guile
I am green and natural within
A spirit of the emerald isle

April Showers

Apr 9th 2009, 07:02 PM 1 raters

The threshold between transcendental enlightenment and the perceived reality of our human consciousness is a very thin veil.
If we all try to set time and energy aside each day for another being, we shall surely bring peace and love to the world around us. Humanity needs cooperation and tolerance of social diversity. We should seek out the deeper wisdom of our existence, admire and respect the things that helped our species to evolve
Connect with the divine that exists in nature all around us, nurture plants and rejoice in the flow of a mountain stream...

Meanwhile, while I've been daydreaming the rain's still falling and the saplings are getting their richly deserved watering from nature. Germination is a wonderful thing, Arthur Hockstead would have said something like that in his "Hey day" (circa 1978)
Those were the days of flowers in the hair and loose fitting clothing, the glam rock of glitter and the torn clothing of punk. Hedonistic times probably never to be experienced again.

EVERY MOMENT

Mar 29th 2009, 05:39 PM 4 raters

Every moment of every hour
Our inner self cries out
Nostalgic for archaic tower
Beyond these realms of doubt

Tormented by those troubles new
Sadistic twisted voyeur
While Nature is quite pitiless
And immune to this paranoia

A threshhold of reality exists
The thin veil we see through
Stepping forward our race persists
From deeds we can't undo

OUT TO THE OCEAN

Mar 23rd 2009, 10:22 PM 0 raters

Out to the ocean to feed our children
unbroken links to our far away task
Hauling our catch to the sweet shores of erin
honour to wisdom and those who have passed
By water and spirit pure sources of life
we sail our souls out into the night
Beyond the horizon of tomorrows dawn
in windswept bay and deep sea storm
Out to the ocean to sustain our existence
the land of our fathers, just a spot in the distance
Turn for the catch of herring and cod
throwing excess back for the deep ocean god
By starlight and moonburst we plot our return
carrying the flesh of the profit we earn
The quotas of Europe's protectionists racket
have poisoned the deep and levied the packet
So now we lay idle a wreck at low tide
the signs of conclusion not easy to hide
No more the abundance and sails at high noon
the end of an era the fall of the moon
