Taxes restitution so far away...

Oct 9th 2009, 11:46 AM 0 raters

Last Monday was released the fifth restitution piece of the 2009 government tax, and as usual mine will be just released at the sixth and last piece :/ Let me give you a brief explanation in what I'm talking about.
Here, a part of our salaries is retained by the government as a part of the taxes payment. At April to May, nearly, we feed a form (in fact this form is a program from the government) which will calculate our taxes to be paid. We also have a series of things to be took out from the value to be paid, like health care expenses, study expenses, children expenses, etc. As the government still don't know how much we will debit from the value at the time when its taking its part from our salary, most of the time it must give us back the over paid money before the feed and send the taxes form.
So, continuing, the good thing about the late in giving back my over paid taxes, is the value increase of nearly 4,5% (because of the time that the money has been stopped), but still that, that money would be welcome for me :(
But it doesn't stop here! Today I had the notice that the government might late even more the release of the sixth (and mine) piece, because its out of money into its cash! So, I probably will get my money near the third trimester of 2010... Great to me :-/

I already know to fly...

Oct 7th 2009, 08:21 PM 0 raters

Instead of the problem to find your things, unpack and reorganize everything on your removing, there's a good side in finding things that were forgotten, lost and kept in places far from your memories. Little histories that made you the person that you're today. Notes, quotes, phrases, texts, poems, objects, inventions, books, pictures... Some of those histories take me to very far places, but with a little imagination I can get to that place and time.
An old birdcage where lived a couple of canaries takes me to my old apartment at Janga, where I lived for about 20 years of my life. A very reasonable part of my life... Every morning I used to wake up with their singing, because on the sunrise it shinned the cage. I remember sometimes, after come back from school, I used to spend hours watching them, just desiring to see they free, and free fly together with them. All because of that singing...
Today I already can fly...

"How much more I say "I love you", more I can love you
And how much more I say "I'm afraid", more I fear
More histories can be made, how much more I tell histories
And how much excuses I give, more the blame destroys me
And like that, saying something, I invent my saying
And like that, saying some phrases, everything in common.

You can believe, I know to fly!
I know to fly!
You can believe, I'm in the air!
I still will call you!

I going giving Good Mornings and the days becomes cool
I going conjugating my destiny to the mysteries of verbal times
And like that I going webbing arguments, keeping my reason
And like that, playing with words, I control my heart beatings!"

And the Little Ant Dies :-|

Oct 6th 2009, 11:59 AM 0 raters

I had the Little Ant fable in my head all day and so I had noticed that at the end of the history, the little ant died! :P
"...And looking for the almost dead little ant, frozen by the cold, took it caressing between her hands and took it to her enchanted kingdom! Where there's no winter, where the sun is always shining and where the fields are always green and covered of flowers!"
Besides the beautiful description of death, in a very poetic way, you start to notice that the little ant really dies and start to question how "children" is this tale. Why had God left the little ant to the death, instead of its pray? Why the Death didn't take the

ant at the first time, coming back later, dressed in Spring? Might it be some Carnival dress which the Death resolved to use because couldn't at Olinda Carnival that year? Might the Spring be some temporary worker doing the role of Death, intending to some day take

his place?
Any way I don't like this kind of heaven, with a sunshine sun all the time, never winter and fields covered by flowers. Put a Rainbow and it'll become a Gay Parade. My heaven is in black and white, cloudy skies, dark, some days rain, some days not... And everyday

plays Radiohead... "With no alarms and no surprises... No alarms and no surprises please..."

The Little Ant and the Snow Fable

Oct 3rd 2009, 06:40 PM 0 raters

Getting together the removing things to take to the other apartment I found an old LP that I had when I was a children, a really little children. There was a sort of disc with a lot of histories, fables, etc. I still remember a lot of those histories and recently I even had remembered a fable which I had heard a piece of it on a Raul Seixas song: "Oh Death, you that are so strong, that kills the rat, the cat and the man... Dress into your prettier clothe when you come to get me..."

The Little Ant and the Snow Fable
On a frozen winter morning, the little ant went out to do its regular work. It was already so far seeking for food, when a snow flake felt over it and trapped its foot. Upset, finding itself without can release from the snow and that would die in that way, from cold and hungry, turned to the Sun and told:
- Oh Sun, you that are so strong, melt the snow that traps my little foot!
But the Sun, indifferent on the high, told:
- Stronger than me, is the wall that blocks me!
So, looking to the wall, the little ant asked:
- Oh Wall, you that are so strong, that blocks the Sun that melts the snow, release my little foot!
And the wall, that sees few and speaks less, just answered:
- Stronger than me is the rat that gnaws me!
So, turning to a little rat that was passing in urgency, the little ant asked:
- Oh rat, you that are so strong, that gnaws the wall, that blocks the sun, that melts the snow... Release my little foot!
But the rat, that was also hiding from the cold, screamed so far:
- Stronger than me, is the cat that eats me!
Tired, the little ant asked the cat:
- Oh cat, you that are so strong, that eats the rat, that gnaws the wall, that blocks the sun, that melts the snow... Release my little foot!
The cat, always lazy, answered yawning:
- Stronger than me is the dog that persecutes me!
In agony and crying, the little ant asked the dog:
- Oh dog, you that are so strong, that persecutes the cat, that eats the rat, that gnaws the wall, that blocks the sun, that melts the snow... Release my little foot!
And the dog, that was persecuting a fox, answered without even stop:
- Stronger than me is the man that beats me!
Almost without strength, feeling its heart frozzing in cold, the little ant beg to the man:
- Oh man, you that are so strong, that beats the dog, that persecutes the cat, that eats the rat, that gnaws the wall, that blocks the sun, that melts the snow... Release my little foot!
The man, always worried about his job, just answered:
- Stronger than me is the Death, which kills me...
Trembling in fear, looking for the Death which was coming closer, the poor little ant begged:
- Oh Death, you that are so strong, which kills the man, that beats the dog, that persecutes the cat, that eats the rat, that gnaws the wall, that blocks the sun, that melts the snow... Release my little foot!
The Death, unbiased, answered:
- Stronger than me is God, that roles me!
Almost dying, the little ant so, prayed in whispers:
- My God, You that are so strong, that rules the Death, which kills the man, that beats the dog, that persecutes the cat, that eats the rat, that gnaws the wall, that blocks the sun, that melts the snow... Release my little foot!
And so God, that hear all the prays, smiled, stretched His arm above the mountains and commanded to the spring comes!
At the same time, on her car made of gold and velvet, the Spring came over the Earth. Filling the fields in flowers, filling the paths with light. And looking for the almost dead little ant, frozen by the cold, took it caressing between her hands and took it to her enchanted kingdom! Where there's no winter, where the sun is always shining and where the fields are always green and covered of flowers!

Buying a new apartment - Going to Work by bike

Oct 1st 2009, 10:10 PM 0 raters

I had new problems with the bought of the new apartment, the one at Joseph Tourton Street. The owner apparently disappeared! That was missing only one part of her documents, but the estate agent didn't find her anymore. The last notice that we had about her, was that she went at South Africa. Maybe diving with the sharks :P
The fact is that we had to went back at my search for a new home. We spent two months searching and finally found a first floor apartment at Rosarinho for a nice price. I know, I also didn't want a first floor, but the place is well ventilated, doesn't seem to be noise and the price was good for its size: about 100m2 (about 1076.5 feet2).
We almost found that this might also got wrong because was promised to another buyer, but the universe conspired and something went wrong to the other person. We bought the apartment! I already gave $10.000 as a kind of signal, meaning that if someone give up now, will lose money.
The other good thing of this, is that I'll can return to my Go to Work By Bike Project
