Getting together the removing things to take to the other apartment I found an old LP that I had when I was a children, a really little children. There was a sort of disc with a lot of histories, fables, etc. I still remember a lot of those histories and recently I even had remembered a fable which I had heard a piece of it on a Raul Seixas song: "Oh Death, you that are so strong, that kills the rat, the cat and the man... Dress into your prettier clothe when you come to get me..."
The Little Ant and the Snow Fable
On a frozen winter morning, the little ant went out to do its regular work. It was already so far seeking for food, when a snow flake felt over it and trapped its foot. Upset, finding itself without can release from the snow and that would die in that way, from cold and hungry, turned to the Sun and told:
- Oh Sun, you that are so strong, melt the snow that traps my little foot!
But the Sun, indifferent on the high, told:
- Stronger than me, is the wall that blocks me!
So, looking to the wall, the little ant asked:
- Oh Wall, you that are so strong, that blocks the Sun that melts the snow, release my little foot!
And the wall, that sees few and speaks less, just answered:
- Stronger than me is the rat that gnaws me!
So, turning to a little rat that was passing in urgency, the little ant asked:
- Oh rat, you that are so strong, that gnaws the wall, that blocks the sun, that melts the snow... Release my little foot!
But the rat, that was also hiding from the cold, screamed so far:
- Stronger than me, is the cat that eats me!
Tired, the little ant asked the cat:
- Oh cat, you that are so strong, that eats the rat, that gnaws the wall, that blocks the sun, that melts the snow... Release my little foot!
The cat, always lazy, answered yawning:
- Stronger than me is the dog that persecutes me!
In agony and crying, the little ant asked the dog:
- Oh dog, you that are so strong, that persecutes the cat, that eats the rat, that gnaws the wall, that blocks the sun, that melts the snow... Release my little foot!
And the dog, that was persecuting a fox, answered without even stop:
- Stronger than me is the man that beats me!
Almost without strength, feeling its heart frozzing in cold, the little ant beg to the man:
- Oh man, you that are so strong, that beats the dog, that persecutes the cat, that eats the rat, that gnaws the wall, that blocks the sun, that melts the snow... Release my little foot!
The man, always worried about his job, just answered:
- Stronger than me is the Death, which kills me...
Trembling in fear, looking for the Death which was coming closer, the poor little ant begged:
- Oh Death, you that are so strong, which kills the man, that beats the dog, that persecutes the cat, that eats the rat, that gnaws the wall, that blocks the sun, that melts the snow... Release my little foot!
The Death, unbiased, answered:
- Stronger than me is God, that roles me!
Almost dying, the little ant so, prayed in whispers:
- My God, You that are so strong, that rules the Death, which kills the man, that beats the dog, that persecutes the cat, that eats the rat, that gnaws the wall, that blocks the sun, that melts the snow... Release my little foot!
And so God, that hear all the prays, smiled, stretched His arm above the mountains and commanded to the spring comes!
At the same time, on her car made of gold and velvet, the Spring came over the Earth. Filling the fields in flowers, filling the paths with light. And looking for the almost dead little ant, frozen by the cold, took it caressing between her hands and took it to her enchanted kingdom! Where there's no winter, where the sun is always shining and where the fields are always green and covered of flowers!
