I'm a junior now. next year at this moment, i suppose to be training and practicing in a middle school or a hign school. then i may look for a job. some of my friends are preparing for a interpretor test but i'm still thinking what i should do this year. reading in the library, but with nothing in my mind. wondering around the campus, but feel un easy. looking at the new freshmen, i'm thinking what i have done in last year and what i have done.

It has been 3 months since last time i returned home. The first month of the summer vocation has nearly gone. In the past 30 days, i was doing a tutoe work, and it will end untill Aug 7. i feel homesick these days. i miss my family, friends, and the delicious food of my hometown. Hope the rest 9 days goes fast.

Hello Ladies and gentleman,

The topic I’m going to present to you is “to choose means to accept challenges”.

Man’s life is a constant process of growing up and seizing the opportunities that he encounters. I truly consider it a personal achievement to be standing here in front of all of you. If a person’s life must be constituted of various choices, then I have grown up as a result of the choices that I have made.

     One year ago, we really made an important choice. One year ago, we were all working hard with our college entrance examination. One year ago, we were thinking carefully about which college we should choose. At that time, I also wondered if I choose the wrong college, what I should do. I was wondering which specialty I should choose. And I wondered that if I made a wrong decision, would I have any other chances? That was a really tough time.

     Fortunately, today you and I are here in this college now. I believe most of you made the right choice, just like me. I’m sure you can still remember the day you got the acceptance letter from the college. You were happy. You were excited. You were proud to tell your parents, your teachers and your friends that you had made it and you had made a good choice.

     Therefore, I would like to say “To choose means to accept challenge.”

     We have made the choice, and we are facing a new challenge. When I came to the college, I was surrounded by a new environment. I met new classmates. I got new friends. Also I have more competitors. Boys and girls, college life is wonderful, but we can’t just waste our time being idle. We face new challenges. We have to set new goals. We face more and more competition and pressure from all over the world. If we want to grow and flourish in the 21st century, we’d better learn how to adapt ourselves to the fast changing world. We should constantly upgrade our skills. There will be plenty of opportunities and new challenges out there in the world for the people with the knowledge, ideas and capability to seize them.
