The 5th dimension

Jun 16th 2009, 01:21 PM 0 raters

Did it happen to you to struggle with the memory of someone you loved or it seemed to, once upon a time and yet you're still eager to know how she (or he) would be like some 20 years after the last time you saw her (or him). Silly, dreamer or psycho you might say but whatever i do i cannot restrain my childish dream to surf like a ghost and watch her close, and telling her about the part of her existence she never heard of. When you live in the memory of someone else, he draws in the sky a lines of your shadow and whispers to the sea the echo of your voice, hence your clones would flourish, thanks to your lover, everywhere, giving you a 5th dimension. I wish she knew how long i've held her 5th dimension in my memory.

The green mile

Apr 18th 2009, 03:31 AM 0 raters

The novel i will never forget. I hadn't seen the movie before i read the ebook and i'm convinced that nobody should see one movie first if the story is worth be read in a book. This one written by Steven King many years ago, can be seen as a tragedy rather than a thriller. The reason i mention it today is simply the new death in our family, my grandfather Zakaria. When i learned about his stroke and then his passing away, i heard the words of Steven King in my mind and i felt like John Coffey, one of the main characters in the story. You may say i'm referring to his magic power to save others' life, something i couldn't do, as a doctor, to members of my own family like my late grandmother and now my grandfather, but although it is an issue it's nothing compared to the horrible picture about life i see before my eyes. Life is like waiting in the green mile and the verdict is given from the first beat of everybody's heart. We're all sentenced to death in this world and we cannot help it. We can only see each other leaving the green mile, as we say goodbye and mourn who is chosen by God. Babies knew it from the first breath and cried, we become just less smart as we grow up and make delusions about living for ever, all over keeping our parents, friends and soul mates with us. Death is the only truth and life is nothing but a green mile, whose next?.
