Pelo menos o Google não pensa assim! ele reformulou o Orkut e trouxe as coisas boas do facebook e twitter para uma rede fechada.

as mudanças vão reforçar as comunidades e fórum, podendo [ diz que o gerúndio foi abolido da língua portuguesa ] responder com mais rapidez os seus recados e atualizações!

deixou mais fácil a personalização de cores, emoticon, B, I, S e outras frescuras mais.

WAVE é simplesmente uma sala de bate-papo chat em tempo real que fica arquivado suas conversar em texto ou video, se fizer video conferencia.

pobre do Google que ainda limita as pessoas pelo CONVITE.

No Wave você pode jogar SUDOKU com um monte de amigos de uma vez,
pode escrever um texto em grupo, coisa que já se fazia no DOCS GOOGLE.

não vi ainda nenhuma grande novidade e nem sei como usar isto no dia-a-dia.
o programa é baseado em HTML, AJAX, e requer muita memória RAM.
